The CJB sent the following message on the occasion of the 46th festival of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE).

“Dear comrades,

The Communist Youth Movement of the Netherlands (CJB) wishes great success to the 46th Festival of KNE-Odigitis. We know that it will take place with all the necessary health measures.

The Festival of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE), which is the greatest yearly cultural and political event for the Greek youth, will be a militant answer to the many problems and challenges the Greek youth faces these days and a stimulant for the struggles in the near future.

Among these challenges are the rising unemployment and other consequences of the new capitalist economic crisis, uncertainties faced by pupils and students, the insufficiencies in the health care system and the inconsistent policy regarding the corona pandemic. But also the inhuman policy of the EU and the governments of the member states regarding refugees and migrants, the victims of imperialist wars and harsh capitalist exploitation, who are left to their fate in unhealthy, dangerous and inhuman conditions. The intensifying contradictions between the Greek and Turkish bourgeoisie, in the framework of the general intensification of the contradictions between imperialist powers in their competition over recourses and markets, is also a very dangerous development.

These developments concern the Greek youth as much as the Dutch, and they show the necessity of overthrowing capitalism and building a society without unemployment, poverty, exploitation and wars, socialism-communism.

We express our solidarity to your organisation and the Greek youth. We are certain that the KNE will be on the forefront of the struggles of the young workers and students for their rights, for peace and for socialism-communism.

We hope that the conditions (with regard to the pandemic) will allow a delegation of the CJB to attend the 47th Festival of KNE-Odigitis in real life again as in previous years.

Comradely,

International Bureau of the CJB”
